The focal point of all Sierramar Adventures is our eco-hotel on the mouth of the Río Dulce where it enters the Bahia de Amatique (Gulf of Honduras), directly across the river from Livingston, a unique Garifuna village. There you can enjoy a liesurely stroll around the grounds, explore a local grotto, take a launch up the coast to explore the Seven Altars, or spend an evening in Livingston sampling the local cuisine. Getting there is half the fun, because there are no roads. Arrival is by launch from Puerto Barrios to the East on the Bay, or from Castillo de San Felipe at the head of the Río Dulce where it originates in Lake Izabal, one of the largest lakes in Central America.
